Work at your own pace — our Fitness Room is well-supplied with a variety of strength-building equipment and free weights, as well as a treadmill, rowing machines, recumbent bicycle, NuSteps, and more. Looking to improve your fitness knowledge? Set up an appointment to go over our equipment and any fitness goals you might have.

Whatever your current state of fitness – mildly curious, passionate, or “the doctor is telling me to get up and move” – you will find a fun, welcoming, and dynamic environment at RiverWoods Manchester. Your physical fitness can be as intense, fun and/or social as you want it to be! Take a class or work individually with our full-time fitness professionals to design a holistic workout program that helps you achieve your personal fitness goals.
From yoga to strength training, walking groups to relaxation techniques and even Mind Aerobics — our fitness programs can help you remain strong and energetic!
Class Descriptions
- Be Fit Strength: These classes focus not only on strength, utilizing bands, balls, and weights, but also incorporate balance and flexibility all while listening to upbeat and fun music.
- Be Fit Flexibility: These classes focus on gentle stretching with a strap and breathing techniques all while listening to calming music.
- Chair Pilates: A seated class that will stretch & strengthen your muscles, improve posture, and increase your coordination, self-confidence, and flexibility.
- Joyful Movement: A blend of cardio, strength, flexibility, mobility, and balance for movement with ease and sensory stimulation for overall health.
- Yoga: Using more of a gentle yoga approach, these classes will certainly help you relax, working on breathing techniques as well as flexibility.
- Outdoor Fitness: Come breathe in the fresh air while walking the property, trail hiking at Cedar Swamp, and/or meditating in the grass. There are so many outdoor options here at RiverWoods Manchester!
- Wellness Workshops: These are educational workshops on a wide range of various wellness topics presented by the Fitness Coordinator and Nurse Practitioner.
