RiverWoods Vice President of Quality and Compliance, Jason Smith Earns Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) Certification
This credential supports RiverWoods’ continued focus on quality, accountability and long-term sustainability
The RiverWoods Group is pleased to announce that Jason Smith, Vice President, Quality & Compliance, has earned the Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) designation. This nationally recognized achievement strengthens RiverWoods’ commitment to quality, accountability, and thoughtful planning to serve current and future residents.
Awarded by the Compliance Certification Board, the CCEP credential recognizes knowledge and practical skills in overseeing compliance programs, promoting an ethical organizational culture and helping organizations meet their legal and regulatory responsibilities. To earn the designation, candidates must meet work experience or qualifying education prerequisites, fulfill continuing education requirements, complete an application process, and pass a certification examination.
For RiverWoods, that expertise supports a future built on thoughtful decisions, consistent practices and the trust of residents and employees. As senior living becomes increasingly complex, a strong foundation in quality and compliance helps RiverWoods maintain high standards of care and services, support its teams, and plan responsibly for the years ahead.
“Our responsibility is to care for the people who call RiverWoods home today while ensuring our communities remain strong for the future,” said Justine Vogel, President and CEO of The RiverWoods Group. “Jason’s commitment to continued learning supports that responsibility, helping us guide our teams, uphold high standards, and make thoughtful decisions with the long-term well-being of our communities in mind.”
Smith joined RiverWoods more than two years ago and has over 25 years of health care leadership experience. His background includes leadership roles at Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Assisted Living Community, Kendal at Hanover, and the Courville Communities. At Rockingham County, he helped guide the nursing home’s improvement from a two-star to a five-star rating and received the New Hampshire Nursing Home Administrator of the Year Award.
“I’m proud to have earned this certification and grateful for RiverWoods’ encouragement and support in pursuing it,” said Smith. “Residents and families count on us to do the right thing, and our employees deserve clear guidance and support in carrying out that responsibility. This work matters to me because strong compliance practices help us identify concerns early, address them thoughtfully, and keep the people we serve at the center of our decisions.”
Jason’s CCEP designation builds on that experience, reinforcing RiverWoods’ commitment to continuous improvement and a culture where employees understand their shared responsibility for quality, ethical conduct, and resident well-being.
