Many informed adults choose to live in Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) as a way to ensure future care needs. But how do you evaluate these communities? What are some key questions you should ask?

This comprehensive workshop will provide tools to help you make a smart decision.

Attend and you will learn:

  • National and regional retirement landscape
  • The 3 major types of communities
  • Contract differences and what to look for
  • Key benchmarks of financial strength
  • Critical indicators to measure service quality

Our Presenters:

Heather joined RiverWoods in February of 2024. A strategic marketing professional for over 12 years, she has a background in multifamily property management, commercial real estate, boutique hotels, and interior design. Heather has created sales and leasing training programs and spoken nationally, leading panels on successful marketing strategy and the impact of design and social media. She is thrilled to have transitioned to the continuing care retirement and healthcare world, making her the third generation in her family to pursue this path.

Dan joined RiverWoods in August 2022 as a senior living sales counselor for the RiverWoods Group. In June 2025, he was promoted to Director of Sales, where he now oversees the sales managers and teams from all three RiverWoods communities, as well as prospects and future residents.   Previously Dan worked for the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel, where he was Director of Sales.  He is a well-recognized and respected volunteer in the greater seacoast community, serving as a board member for Granite United Way Greater Seacoast, Club Secretary and Past President of Kiwanis Club of the Seacoast, and Hospitality Advisory Board Member at Great Bay Community College.
