United for Consolidated Healthcare in Exeter

For thirty years, RiverWoods has been known for innovation. This grassroots organization was one of the first in New Hampshire to offer Life Care as a lifestyle to residents on the seacoast.

Since opening its first campus in 1994, RiverWoods has grown to three campuses located within a few square miles of each other, as well as two other communities in Manchester and Durham. Riverwoods remains at the forefront of senior living with a strong commitment to community, forward-thinking, and unmatched financial strength.

The next phase of innovation is RiverWoods Exeter’s plan to consolidate healthcare into one state-of-the-art building. This new, Centralized Healthcare Center will include all levels of care from assisted living, enhanced assisted living, memory support services, and nursing.

Our new center will be available to residents from The Woods, Ridge, and Boulders. It will include spacious apartments in the “small house” design, providing a homey and neighborhood-like atmosphere for those who need an enhanced level of care.  It will include gracious outdoor space, as well as a healthy biophilic design. The building is being designed as our “fourth campus” and will feature an array of amenity spaces desirable for our residents and their visitors, even including a lobby coffee shop. There will be beautiful homes and amenities for residents and their guests, state-of-the-art healthcare spaces, and access to incredible care and support by a complete staff of healthcare professionals.

The unified healthcare center will prove to be beneficial in a multitude of ways. One of the primary benefits of the new building is the ability to have all our healthcare workers in one location. You may be familiar with the looming demographic conundrum. This concept states that the number of people in the healthcare workforce shrinks a small amount each year in relation to those who need those services. A unified healthcare center means having the confidence to outpace that statistic.

RiverWoods’ reputation is one of high-quality, person-centered care that fosters community, purpose, and peace of mind. Unifying our healthcare workforce creates the opportunity to develop specialists, career tracks, and high employee engagement needed to maintain the care RiverWoods is known for.  Stay tuned for continued updates on this incredible community advancement.
