It all began when RiverWoods Exeter was founded in 1994. Since then, The RiverWoods Group has maintained a solid reputation as a smart and strong family of not-for-profit communities. The organization has grown thoughtfully and maintained healthy occupancy while consistently outperforming industry benchmarks.

In 2016, RiverWoods Manchester became a part of the family; in 2019 we opened our newest community, RiverWoods Durham. Each addition to The RiverWoods Group System is held to the same award-winning, high standards.

As a not-for-profit, our focus remains on improving the quality of life for adults rather than shareholder value. We proudly remain mission-driven, and are dedicated to bringing this way of life to as many people as possible for as long as possible.
