Felicia is another Intern to Director story at RiverWoods! She started at RiverWoods Exeter while getting her degree and is now the Director of Community Life at RiverWoods Manchester.
She is inspired by the lifestyle residents live here and the work her team does every day that changes lives for the better! “I have an amazing team! They show up with new ideas, energy, and a sense of cohesiveness. I love getting compliments about them from residents, visitors, and even other staff.”
Felicia is also a graduate of the Leading Age National Leadership Academy. The year-long program included a research project and team building with other leaders in senior living. It included the opportunity to travel and explore other communities while gaining a lot of perspective about the industry. Felicia says she also learned about her own leadership style and made new friends along the way.
Looking forward:
Felicia applied to Leadership New Hampshire; a program developed by the state. If accepted, participants explore critical issues facing the Granite State, gain a deeper understanding of its regions and communities, and create high level, statewide connections.
The community life team is also very excited about and heavily involved with the customization and launch of ICON, the new resident portal tool coming to all three RiverWoods communities later this year. This tool will integrate aspects of community and resident life while being user friendly.
On a sweet personal note, Felicia is a newlywed, getting married in January. Residents and staff celebrated her milestone with a “just married” banner in her office and immediately called her by her new last name. #ThisIsRiverWoodsManchester
